Description
The race is a 5K around the riverside town of Rising Sun, IN. Proceeds will benefit our local non-profit group People Helping People. People Helping People started in 1988 founded by employees of Indiana Michigan Power, Tanners Creek Power Plant in Lawrenceburg, IN. Money raised during the year is used to purchase canned goods which are delivered to the surrounding counties of Ohio, Switzerland, Ripley and Dearborn and their respective food pantries.

Overall Awards
1st, 2nd & 3rd place ribbons will be awarded to overall male and female run and walk, there are no age division awards.

Start Front of RSHS
Proceed on S Henrietta Street naturally following a left onto 1st Street
Turn Right onto S Mulberry Street
Turn Right onto Plum Street
Follow Plum Street to Shiner Park and follow course around Shiner Park
Exit Shiner Park back onto Plum Street nearest to the RS Pool walk path
Turn Right off of Plum onto S Mulberry Street
Turn Left onto Rio Vista Lane
Turn Left onto Broad Alley
Turn Right onto Maiden Lane
Turn Left onto S High Street
Turn Left onto Main Street (following sidewalk not street)
Turn Left onto S Henrietta Street
END in front of RSHS

Volunteer
Please contact Deitrich Banschbach (deitrich.banschbach@lightstonegen.com) to volunteer to help out on the day of the event. We will need people posted around town to direct/encourage runners, people to work the water station area, people to work the post-race snack area and people to organize/hand out T-shirts. Thank you!
