Update - July 20, 2020
While we were so hopeful that we would be able to come together on August 29, 2020 to walk, run, and eat some bacon to raise essential funds for the Family Justice Center of St. Joseph County, we have made the decision to cancel the in-person event and go completely virtual event for Bacon Around the Bend 2020. Due to the restrictions we would need to put in place to keep everyone safe and healthy, it was clear that an in-person event this year would just not have the same flair as our past events.
Virtual Race: $35 registration fee includes a “Bacon Around the Bend in a Box” kit. This box will include the following bacon-tastic items: Official race shirt, official race bib, bacon-themed goodies, and a few festive surprises to give your virtual experience a bit of the flavor that you have come to expect from our events. As a virtual participant, you can walk, jog, or run a 5K (3.1 miles) on your own, wherever and whenever it is safe to do so, and celebrate your accomplishment by posting pictures and videos on social media. Please use the tag #FJCBacon2020 so we can celebrate your success with you.
Registration for the virtual event will remain open until Thursday, August 20.
You will be able to pick up your “Bacon Around the Bend in a Box” in-person Friday, August 28 from 12:00 - 5:30 PM at the Family Justice Center in South Bend.
Bacon Around the Bend is one of two fundraisers hosted by the Family Justice Center and we are relying on these funds now more than ever to meet the needs of victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and their families. Please reach out to us at email@example.com with any questions or contact us through runsignup.com. We thank you for your enthusiasm for this event and the mission of the FJC!
