Friends and family are welcome to join us as we run some of our favorite neighborhood routes for an enjoyable 5k, without the drive out of town, on Thanksgiving.
This is not a timed event and there are no awards. This will also be an open course -- please be mindful of traffic.
This is a free event -- so keep your expectations low :-) BUT if you are in the giving spirit, please consider donating to our fundraiser for Girls on the Run Michiana

Route
We will plan to meet at 221 Marquette Ave and head to the start line.
The North Shore Triangle Turkey Trot 5K will begin at the corner of Lafayette Blvd and Northshore Drive. Participants will turn RIGHT onto Northshore Drive following the "edge of the triangle" to the intersection of Northshore and Angela, where you will turn RIGHT to follow Angela Blvd.
Run on Angela until Lafayette, where you will turn RIGHT. A LEFT turn will take place on Parkovash -- following the south edge of Parkovash Park. Participants will then turn LEFT to run up the hill on Hillcrest Rd. A RIGHT turn will continue the hill onto Pokagon St. Participants will catch the East Bank Trail and then cross Angela at the PEDESTRIAN CROSSING to the old trail by St. Joseph High School/Holy Cross College. Run STRAIGHT onto Holy Cross Campus until the turn around point where you will TURN AROUND and head back on the trail to the ANGELA/EAST BANK TRAIL PEDESTRIAN CROSSING. Participants will turn RIGHT to run down the hill at Pokagon. Turn RIGHT to run DOWN the hill on Hillcrest. Turn RIGHT on Parkovash. Followed by LEFT on Lafayette to the finish.
We plan to mark the course with sidewalk chalk the morning of the race.
Be mindful, the neighborhood is old and the sidewalks are uneven. When a bike/running lane is present, you may run in this area BEING MINDFUL that this is an OPEN COURSE -- there will be cars.
We are likely to have help monitoring the pedestrian crossing at Angela, but again, proceed at your own risk when crossing the street both going north and south on the East Bank Trail.
We will have small finisher trinkets and donuts at the finish.
Thanks for coming to run with us!
