Place: Wheeler High School
Date: August 26 2023
Time: 9:00 a.m. Boys Race begins.
9:30 a.m. Girls Race begins.

Boys’/Girls’ Races: 1-15 individual ribbons.
4. The Course
Flat, Scenic, mixture of grass/sand on the outside property.
The course is one outside loop around the perimeter of the Wheeler property to 1 mile. They
will then be transitioning to an inner loop around the softball field to two miles. The runners will then
u-turn around the inner loop to the South, around the practice soccer field and finally finish the last 300
meters on the track into the track facility. (Please see attached map.)
Due to portions of the cross country course that are on the track on our course, 1⁄4 inch spikes are the
longest spikes allowed during the races. Thank you!
5. Markings
The course should be marked with white lines, yellow and orange arrows, and flags.
The course will be marked with a white stake for each kilometer and mile.
The 1600m and 3200m marks are labeled on your maps.
6. Finish Instructions
All runners will be assigned a bib number before the race. Please make sure all athletes wear their bib number and know their
number. If the bib is lost during the race it is the runner’s responsibility to report
their number to the workers in the chute.
7. Timing/Race Results
Timing and Race results provided by Tempo Run Timing. Results will be available here at the
end of the meet. They will also be emailed to schools at the conclusion of the meet. You
may also access results via www.athletic.net, www.indianarunner.com
8. Race Entry Limitations
There will be no limitations on entries due to it being one of the first races of the year.
