SSBJ Cross Country

Sainik School Bijapur, Karnataka, India (SSBJ) holds cross country race for it's students every year since it's inception in 1963. Students who pass out of the school miss this event. Although the Alumni of  the school are living in cities through out the globe, they stay connected in social networks and have formed 'Ajeets Celebrate Life' group where they post their regular running results. There is a consensus that all the interested Alumni should be able to participate host a virtual cross county run on the same day SSBJ hold's the race. Every student of SSBJ belong to one of the 6 houses (Chalukya, Hoysala, Adilshahi, Vijayanagar, Wodeyar and Rastrakuta). Every Alumni carries a competitive spirit of helping his/her house win the race. Apart from individual 3 winners, houses are also ranked based on the runner timings of all the houses. The race is only open to SSBJ Alumni. 

The race is free, however, you can make a donation of your choice. The donations will go to CHAVW (Chalukya, Hoysala, Adilshahi, Vijayanagar and Wodeyar) Charitable Trust managed by the SSBJ97 pass-out batch. The funds collected by this run will be assigned for any school student facing financial difficulty. If that doesn't occur, it will be given to the school's computer cluster/lab to expand on the existing hardware.
