Sandhill Shuffle 5k Run/Walk

The Sandhill Shuffle is back!! 
This time we are hosting this super fun family event the weekend of the beloved Sandhill Crane Festival in Wheatfield!  On Friday evening, September 20th, 2024, we will kick off the Festival weekend with some 5k Run/Walk fun, while the Wheatfield Chamber of Commerce hosts a live music event and beer garden!  What better way to unwind after a race than relaxing in the park with live music! 

The race will once again start and end at Centennial Park, in the heart of the Town of Wheatfield, across from our own Heather's Diner and Stower's & Son Meat & Grocer!   Enjoy 3.1 miles weaving through our small town streets!  All proceeds from the race will continue to go toward our Centennial Park playground project.  We won't stop running until we reach our goal!

Online registration opens June 26th and will remain open through September  19th at 7:00am.   ***** Register before August 31st to guarantee your Sandhill Shuffle 5k T-Shirt!!!******

Race Day Registration and packet pickup will begin at 4:30 pm.  Registration for the event will close promptly at 5:45pm before the race start.  

The race will start at 6:00 pm with awards at approximately 7:15 pm when all runners and walkers have finished! 

Awards presented at the end of the race will be presented to: 

Overall Female and Male
Overall Female and Male Masters

Top 3  finishers in each Age division, Male and Female:
 10 and under, 11 - 12, 13-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+, and in each Athena (>170 lbs), Clydesdale (>210 lbs), and Non-Binary, and our All Abilities category for participants with physical or mental disabilities. 

Registration Fees:

Adults (15 and up)  - $25

Youth (14 and under) - $15

All Abilities participants - $15

There will be no price increase for Race Day, but T-shirts will only be guaranteed to runners/walkers registered by August 30th. 

All registrations are final - there are no refunds.
