Race Day Checklist

Our iTRI event checklist covers most items needed or advised to have a successful run or multisport race. Included on the checklist are items required for the swim, bike, and run legs. In addition, you will find suggested items you may benefit from using in the race. After each race you participate in, you will see what items work best for you in the racing environment.

Items highlighted are required to participate in our iTRI events. For example, any items highlighted in the Swim checklist are required for the Swim Leg in our Triathlon. Anything highlighted in the Bike checklist is required for the Bike Leg of our Triathlon and Duathlon.

 

 SWIM                                                                                              

  • TRI suit or Swimsuit
  • Sandals or Crocs
  • Goggles
  • Swim Cap
  • Towel
  • Anti-Chafing Lubricant
  • Spare Goggles
  • Ear Plugs
  • Water Bottle
  • Sunscreen

 


 BIKE                                                                                              

  • Bike
  • Helmet
  • Footwear - Closed Toe Shoes
  • Socks
  • Baby Powder - inside of socks
  • Floor Pump
  • Extra Bike Tire
  • Sunglasses
  • Water Bottle
 
    • Helmets are REQUIRED for ALL participants. NO HELMET = NO RACING.
    • Athletes in the 5-7 and 8-9 age groups are allowed to have training wheels on their bikes.
    • Please make sure to check all parts of your racing bike prior to the event. Ensure that all wheels have been oiled properly and tires are filled with air the evening prior. Please be aware there is no bike service on site.
 

 

 RUN                                                                                               

  • Footwear - Closed Toe Shoes
  • Running Shirt or Tank
  • Shorts or Leggings
  • Race Belt
  • Watch
  • Socks
  • No-Tie Laces
  • Race Belt
  • Cap or Visor
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Mosquito Spray
  • Water Bottle
 
    • Closed toe shoes are required for running legs or events. Sandals or Crocs are only allowed during transition in multi sports.

 

 

As always, a positive attitude, high energy, great sportsmanship, and a SMILE at the finish line is always expected.
