BOO! Brain Cancer 5K

Get ready for our 4th Annual BOO! Brain Cancer 5K! 🎃💜

Join us this October as we come together to raise critical funds for pediatric brain cancer research and support children and families facing the unimaginable.

Brain cancer is now the leading cause of disease-related death in children, and Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) remains one of the deadliest pediatric brain cancers. Most children diagnosed with DIPG survive only 9–12 months, and currently, there is no cure. No family should ever hear that their child’s cancer is incurable. Together, we can help fund more research, more hope, and more tomorrows.

This year’s BOO! Brain Cancer 5K is a virtual walk/run that can be completed at any time during October. Whether you walk, run, or stroll, or do so with family and friends, every mile helps raise awareness and bring hope to children battling brain cancer.

Track your miles on our race page, share your journey in our Facebook group, and help us spread awareness all month long!

Proceeds from this event benefit Princess Hailey’s Hope Foundation, a volunteer-led childhood brain cancer nonprofit founded in memory of Hailey Acevedo, who bravely battled DIPG for 17 months. Through programs like Hope from Hailey, Hugs from Hailey, and Hops from Hailey, we fund pediatric brain cancer research, personalized care packages for children in the fight, and travel assistance to help families access clinical trials and expanded access treatments.
