Azakazaka

Azakazaka is a fund-raising event directed by Fanovana-Friends of Madagascar, a local non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for the development of community-based ecotourism by the people of Madagascar to preserve their natural heritage and raise themselves out of poverty.  It is a one-mile fun-run or 5K run/walk (your choice) starting (8:30) and finishing at Ogletree Village shopping center in Auburn, AL on Saturday, October 19, 2019.  A t-shirt with Madagascan lemur design is included with each $25 registration fee (only guaranteed for those registering by Oct. 10 deadline).  T-shirts and packets may be picked up between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m.  Late registrants must arrive by 8:00.  For the 5K, awards will be presented to overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female winners as well as winners of age groups.  Finishers will be served refreshments including homemade Madagascan vanilla pound cake.  All proceeds will go directly to our partners in Madagascar.
