10TH ANNUAL SOZO CHILDREN RUN FOR A REASON VIRTUAL 5K!
Proceeds raised will be used to support our mission of empowering vulnerable children to become thriving leaders for Jesus Christ.
** HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR RACE TIME**
Participants who wish to run an actual 5K will be able to submit their results to win their age groups. We will be providing the top 3 winners in each category with Ugandan hand-carved wooden medals. How to submit your results:
*On this home page, go to the navigation header > and select the Result tab > then select Submit Virtual Results. Search for your name > click submit virtual results button > enter your time
Join our virtual run the week of May 9-15 and help us celebrate Sozo Children's 11th Anniversary, May 13th!
Whether you plan on running the entire 5K(3.1miles), jogging, walking, skipping or maybe even practicing your dance walk–we hope you will join in and get moving for Sozo Children!
Create your own route in your neighborhood, at a nearby trail, or knock it out on your treadmill. Use your favorite fitness tracker or app to track your distance.
Make sure you are tagging @sozochildren on social media with a selfie or picture of your distance/time after you complete your "race". Who doesn't love a post workout selfie!

*T-Shirts will be mailed to participants who paid for the Virtual 5K Mail T-shirt and will receive their shirts prior to race week if signed up before May 3rd.

"Run" the 5K by jogging, walking, skipping, crab-walking or maybe even practicing your dad-dance-moves anytime, anywhere during the designated race week.

OUR REASON: We operate multiple children's homes in Uganda, providing care for over 120 children. Through a continuum of care provided by a team of Ugandan care-givers, the children of Sozo are loved, nurtured, and equipped with proper nutrition, healthcare, quality education, spiritual development and life skills to impact positive change in their communities and Ugandan society.
