26th Annual Millennium Run: Florence, Alabama's Premier New Year 5K Race

Start 2026 off with one of North Alabama's greatest New Year traditions! Join hundreds of runners in Florence, Alabama for the 26th Annual Millennium Run on January 1st, 2026. The 5K race and 1 Mile run trek through the scenic Heathrow neighborhood. All benefiting Shoals Christian School Athletics.

• 5K Race Start: 9:00 A.M.
• 1-Mile Fun Run Start: 9:10 A.M.
• Awards presentation: 10:00A.M.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS

 Early Registration (Through Noon December 20th): 

• 5K Race: $35.00 (Includes long-sleeve race shirt)
• 1-Mile Run: $25.00 (Includes long-sleeve race shirt)

 Late Registration (December 20th - Jan 1th): 

• 5K Race: $40.00 (Race shirt available as supplies last)
• 1-Mile: $30.00 (Race shirt available as supplies last)

Prizes and Awards: The 1st Overall Male/Female and the 1st Overall Masters Male/Female (40+) runners will receive a Trophy.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals are awarded to the top three Male and Female finishers in each of the 10-year age groups. Ages: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Packet Pickup: Begins morning of race 1/1/26 at 7:00am CST

COURSE INFORMATION

Experience one of the Shoals area's most popular race routes! Our 5K course winds through Florence's Heathrow neighborhood, offering runners a scenic yet fast race. The 1-mile Fun Run follows the same but shortened version of the 5K course. Detailed course maps are available on race day. Both these 5K and 1-mile races are certified by the USATF.

FACILITIES and AMENITIES

The Shoals Christian School gymnasium opens at 7:00 a.m. offering:

• Indoor warm-up area
• Registration station
• Restrooms
• Awards ceremony venue
• Post-race refreshments

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

All proceeds benefit Shoals Christian School, serving the Shoals area community. Join runners from Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, and across North Alabama for this meaningful event.
