Description
The RunningLane Track Club Youth Program is open to 3rd - 6th graders who are interested in learning more about the sports of cross country, track and field, and road running.
The Track Club mission is to produce a healthy, encouraging environment and to prepare youth distance runners for youth, middle school, high school competition and beyond.
What: Spring Youth Track and Field Running Program
When: April 3rd - May 22nd, 2024 Wednesdays - 3:45 - 5:00PM
Practice Dates & Locations: All practices are on Wednesdays
Grades: 3rd-6th Grade
Level: All levels, must be able to run 1 mile.
WHEN
Wednesday April 3rd - May 22nd, 2024.
Location is John Hunt Park - Upper Parking Lot (John Hunt Cross Country Park, 2151 Airport Rd SW, Huntsville, AL 35801)
PRICING
Price includes training, shirt, other swag, and FREE entry into the RunningLane Track Championships on May 24th and 25th (https://runsignup.com/Race/AL/Huntsville/RunningLaneTrackChampionships). (Details on the event will be provided throughout the training)

Things to bring.....
- Water Bottle
- Sunscreen (preferably already on)
- Proper running attire to include, shorts/running pants, shirt, and shoes. It is also advisable to bring/wear a light jacket, Alabama weather is very unpredictable!
- A towel or Yoga mat for stretching and plyos
- A POSITIVE attitude!
This program will focus around the sport of Track and Field but also incorporate training fundamentals for cross country as well as general healthy lifestyle habits.
In the 8 week session we will provide athletes with a foundation for track and field middle distance and distance running, along with training, and education that includes more than just direction in their running plan. We also will provide instruction on warm ups, stretching, injury prevention routines, drills and more.
8 WEEKS OF TRAINING INCLUDES
