Uniontown 5K/10K and 1 Mile Fun Run

This year's 5K/10K/1Mi event will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the CHOICE Resource Center in Uniontown, AL.  

More than just a race, this COLOR RUN event brings together youth, runners, and community members alike to highlight the beauty of diversity, symbolized through splashes of colors. 

About our Race Partner: C.H.O.I.C.E.

C.H.O.I.C.E. strives to create collaborative partnerships to ensure youth have access to resources that provide quality programs, activities, and services in six (6) key focus areas: (1) Workforce Development (2) Mentoring (3) Education (4) Cultural Arts (5) Health & Wellness (6) Athletics & Recreation.

The CHOICE Resource Center is located at 60 Hamburg Duncan Rd, Uniontown, Alabama. We serve as the community hub for charitable and educational resources by offering resources to increase self-sufficiency, employability, and the overall quality of life of the people within the community.

Event Details:

All event activities, including the start/finish lines, will take place at the CHOICE Resource Center. Post-race party included for all runners. Local vendors and community partnership resources available.

Both the 5K and 10K course serve as a Tuscaloosa Track Club Grand Prix event!

5K AWARDS:

• Overall: Top 3 Males and Females
• Master's: Top Male and Female over the age of 40
• Grand Master's: Top Male and Female over the age of 50
• Great Grand Master's: Top Male and Female over the age of 60
• Age Division Awards for 1st-3rd place Male and Female in the following groups: 9 and under,10-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+

10K AWARDS:

Registration Fees: (NOTE: registrations after May 15th are not guaranteed a shirt)

• 5K: $20.00 online-registration (closes at 5:00 pm on May 21); $25.00 race day registration
• 10K: $25.00 online-registration (closes at 5:00 pm on May 21); $30.00 race day registration
• 1Mi: $5.00 online-registration (closes at 5:00 pm on May 21); $10.00 race day registration

Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration (cash or check) is AVAILABLE ON SITE THE MORNING OF THE RACE. Parking is available at the Uniontown Ball Park, one block away from the CHOICE Resource Center. 

Event Schedule:

7:00-7:45am Race Day Registration and Packet Pick Up

8:00am 5K and 10K start [10K runners form the first pack; 5K runners form the middle pack. Children, strollers, and slower runners fill the back, please]

8:15am 1 Mile Fun Run starts

9:30am Awards Ceremony for 5K/10K runners

The course is primarily an out-and-back with a few turns. The race will be timed using an electronic timing system provided by the Tuscaloosa Track Club.
