Description
Get ready for a hot yet fun race.
The Heat is on 8K is put on by the White River RoadRunners to support the running community in Independence County and surrounding areas. Examples are Women’s Run/Walk Clinic, Youth XC summer clinic in June at Lyon College, as well as local high school XC/Track meets.
The 8K course is a road/trail course. The trail section is about 1.2 miles long, and is mainly gravel. The trail is NOT single track. The race will start and finish at the Batesville Aquatic Center. The race will be chip timed by Macs Race Timing.
Pre-Registered participants will be guaranteed a Tultex Race Shirt up until July 8th. Participants after that will just have to cross their fingers and hope we have enough extras.
ALL race participants get into the private swim party at the water park following the finish of the race. Any family members that DO NOT run can participate in the after race festivities for $2. This can be done at the race on race day.
There will be indoor bathrooms and shower facilities available.
