2026 Run For the Fallen 5K - Canceled
Dear Participants,
We regret to inform you that due to the potential for severe weather in the area, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s 5K event. The safety of our participants, volunteers, and support staff is one of our top priorities, and we do not feel it is responsible to proceed under the current forecast.
Although the in-person event will not take place, participants still have the option to complete the run virtually at a time and location that works best for them.
If you prefer not to participate virtually, we are also offering the option to receive a full refund of your registration fee.

Description
We are excited to announce that this year we will again have honor bibs. These bibs say "I'm running in honor of..." and you will be able to write in the name of the fallen hero you would like to run in honor of. The first 100 participants will also receive a memorial bracelet in honor of an Arkansas Fallen Hero.
If you are participating in the in person 5K event, you will need to be able to maintain a 10 minute/mile pace for the 5K. This is not a race. Rather, it is a memorial run where participants run as a group to collectively honor the fallen heroes who were individually honored over the weekend. Runners will need to report to the state Capitol on Sunday, March 15th by 1:00pm to be transported to the start of the run. The run will conclude at the state Capitol at approximately 2:15 pm and will be followed by a closing ceremony at 2:30pm.
The shirt deadline is March 1, 2026. Please register before then to ensure you receive the size you would like. For more information about the run and the heroes that we honor please visit www.arkansasrunforthefallen.org
