Description
The Boys & Girls Club of Flagstaff program “On the T.R.A.I.L. to Diabetes Prevention” is hosting a virtual 5k run/walk. This 5k can be done in, out or around your home town while practicing social distancing.
Our program is aimed to educate Native American youth about preventing type 2 diabetes. This is our community education project to get youth and their families outside and moving! And to provide information on how living a healthy style can prevent type 2 diabetes. While doing the 5k with your kids/families, we are encouraging adults to have the conversations about living a healthy style, nutrition, what is type 2 diabetes and how can we prevent it.
