The 2025 BF&M Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

On October 15th, join us as we celebrate the history of the annual BF&M Breast Cancer Awareness Walk..

For 29 years, we’ve walked together to raise awareness, fund lifesaving breast cancer services, and stand with those affected. Every step has helped support early detection, timely treatment, and vital education in Bermuda.

2025 will be BF&M’s final year sponsoring the walk before becoming Allshores — but their commitment to the cause and the work of Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre is stronger than ever.

For this year only, we’re doing something different — we’re asking you to dig into your closet and find the oldest BF&M Breast Cancer Awareness Walk shirt you own. Wear it proudly and show how long you’ve been walking with us.

No shirt? No problem — simply wear pink! Walk packs with a bucket hat and other fun items will be available while supplies last. 

Event schedule

4:00pm – 5:00pm School Spirit Check-in and photos on stage
5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Health fair
5:30 pm Opening speeches
5:45 pm Zumba warm-up
6:00 pm Walk starts
7:00 pm Survivor ceremony – Join us for a special closing ceremony to honour survivors, remember loved ones, and celebrate 29 years of walking together in support of breast cancer awareness.

As an individual or large group (10+ participants):

• Registration: $35, online only

• Late registration: $40

  • Online - October 11 - 15

  • In Person at Barr's Bay Park - October 15, 12:00 pm - 6:00pm

Registered as part of a group?

Please note that all walk packs must be collected in one batch by a designated team representative. Packs will then be distributed internally by your school or company. Only the nominated representative will be permitted to collect the team’s walk packs — individual team members should not come to pick up their own packs.

Fundraising goal

Our goal for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025 is to raise $200,000. Every dollar you donate supports breast cancer services at Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.

Funds raised go directly to our Equal Access Fund, which ensures that women and men can receive mammograms, ultrasounds, and breast biopsies, regardless of their insurance coverage, in order to detect cancer early, when it is most treatable. Your support also helps provide cancer navigation services, radiation therapy, and FREE breast health education through our “Know Your Lemons” programme.
