Savage Like Cami 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run

Welcome to the Savage Like Cami 5k/10k charity event.  Cami Evans, a friend/colleague, a mother, and a teacher at Buhach Colony HS is in her 3rd year battle with cancer.  Please join us in this great cause.  Your charitable contributions will be used to cover the costs associated with the infliction of this terrible disease.

Cami was diagnosed with terminal Leiomyosarcoma in March of 2018.  This disease has created many tumors throughout her body and she has undergone surgery, radiation therapy, multiple chemotherapies (over 30 treatments in total), and immunotherapy in an attempt to give her as much time here with us as possible.  And though Cami remains very positive, she is currently on her third round of what is looking to be her final treatment option unless she receives approval for clinical trials.  We put together this event to show our love and support to a phenomenal person, mother, teacher, and friend.  Cami will use the proceeds from this event to help cover the cost of traveling to appointments, co-pays, and treatments that insurance just doesn't cover.  This charity event is a 5K/10K loop that will start and end in the Buhach Colony High School Student Parking Lot on February 19, 2022.  Packet pick up and Race Day Registration starts at 8:30am and Race Starts at 10:00am.  Let’s all come together as a community and support Ms. Cami Evans!
