Peace of Mind: 10,000 Steps in the Right Direction

Alma Rosa Winery is pleased to announce its sixth annual fundraiser to support mental health: Peace of Mind: 10,000 Steps in the Right Direction on Saturday, May 17, 2025.  To support community services as well as mental health research, the 2025 Peace of Mind event will be a walk of approximately 10,000 steps or 4.5 miles across the Alma Rosa estate benefiting two organizations: the Mental Wellness Center and One Mind.

Alma Rosa proprietors Bob & Barb Zorich are doubling all donations made through Peace of Mind dollar-for-dollar up to $35,000 for each charity, for a total of $70,000.

Participants will have the opportunity to raise funds with family and friends toward the beneficiary of their choice:

Since 1947, the Mental Wellness Center has been building hope for individuals and families, providing support in recovery and raising awareness of mental health within the Santa Barbara community.

One Mind has been funding important research into the causes, treatment and cures of mental health conditions for the past 29 years.

In addition to enjoying an exhilarating walk through the Sta. Rita hills, every participant in the “Peace of Mind” walk will get to enjoy the following:

• Delicious snacks, featuring Cheese/Crackers & cookies SB Food Connection

• “Splash of wine” samplers
• 1 raffle ticket entry change this to: whether you are walking alone or part of a team, you’ll receive a raffle ticket to enter to win a range of prizes!

That’s right… register a group of 5 or more people as a team for the day, and each person on your team will be represented in a DRAWING FOR TEAMS ONLY!  The winning team that’s drawn will receive a fabulous prize of a FREE WINE TASTING PARTY FOR UP TO 12 PEOPLE AT THE ALMA ROSA ESTATE!

By rallying your community, you’re not only supporting Mental Health by raising more funds through participation, but also making your own “Peace of Mind” walk experience that much more spectacular.  Add on the chance of winning a wine tasting party for your team, and your bottle will be corked!

 ⚙️ THE ROTARY CHALLENGE ⚙️  
At Alma Rosa Winery, we applaud the great impact that Rotary International makes around the world.  We understand that Mental Wellness is a very important focus area for Rotarians, and so we call all Rotary Clubs in District 5240 for a participation challenge.  Similar to the TEAM challenge above, we ask Rotarians to rally your Rotary club members for the walk as your Rotary team for the day (friends and family members too!).  Each person on your team will be represented in a DRAWING FOR ROTARY CLUBS ONLY!  The winning club that’s drawn will receive a fabulous prize of A FREE WINE-TASTING PARTY FOR UP TO 25 PEOPLE AT THE ALMA ROSA WINERY!!

IMPORTANT FOR WALK REGISTRANTS: When registering for the walk you will be automatically enrolled as a fundraiser and be able to make a donation to the charity of your choosing. After registration, you will receive a direct link to your fundraising page to share with family and friends. If you choose not to fundraise, you may hide your fundraiser from public view by going to your profile in the upper right hand corner.
