Graniterock River Run

The River Run is back for 2021 with a family-friendly, socially distanced event that will be fun for everyone! This year you will be able to run or walk a 5K distance.  There will not be a 1 mile run. 

The River Run 2020 describes the unique experience that awaits as you meander through a working sand and gravel quarry.  The events take you inside the Southside Sand and Gravel Quarry to see the working quarry site, the banks of the San Benito River, specialized equipment that processes the rock, and beautiful natural surroundings. The River Run benefits the YMCA of San Benito and begins at 8:00 a.m. AUGUST 28, 2021 at 5632 Airline Highway, Hollister, CA 95023.

IMPORTANT Covid -19/SARS CoV-2 INFORMATION FOR YOUR RACE.

• THERE WILL BE NO IN-PERSON, PAPER-BASED REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT.
• ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
• WHEN YOU REGISTER YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PICK A START TIME WINDOW FOR YOUR EVENT.  YOUR REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION EMAIL WILL CONTAIN DETAILS ABOUT ARRIVAL AND RACING.
• YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE COURSE AND THEN LEAVE THE PROPERTY. 
• ALL AWARDS WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER THE EVENT IS COMPLETED AND YOU WILL INFORMATION ON HOW AND WHERE TO PICK UP ANY AWARDS.
• FACE MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED EXCEPT WHILE RUNNING.
• ANY CHANGES BASED ON CURRENT COVID INFORMATION AND COUNTY/STATE REQUIREMENTS WILL BE COMMUNICATED PRIOR TO THE EVENT.

As with everything else during this past year, we would ask that all participants be flexible and understanding if the situation arises that we need to make changes at the last minute.
