Join hundreds of dog adorers and rescued canines at the 2019 Best Friend 5K Run and Dog Adoption Day! This is a 2 part event.  While runners and dogs will be participating in the 5K run, the general public is welcome to participate in a free event - Dog Adoption Day. In support of local rescue shelters throughout California, we are striving to create the largest on-site adoption event. Local animal shelters and rescuers will be in attendance as they introduce their furry animals to members of our community. Due to animal shelters reaching capacity, animal euthanasia is the unfortunate outcome. However, there is a glimmer of hope that local animal rescuers provide by temporarily fostering these animals until they find a permanent home. Join us on September 29, 2019 as we witness new relationships created between human and canine and celebrate the bonds we have with our 4 legged BFF.

We welcome loving people to adopt on-site. A portion of the proceeds go to The Dog Cafe, Los Angeles.

Best Friend 5K Run Details:
Bib Pickup: 6:30am-7:45am
Run Start Time: 8:00am
Run Finish Time: 10:00am

Dog Adoption Day Details:
Start Time:  8:00am
Finish Time: 2:00pm
Participating Rescuers:
1.  The Dog Cafe

Participants DO NOT need to run in canine/human pairs. If so, register for "Human Runner Only" option. Each dog and human will be awarded with a finisher's medal.

COURSE: The course will start and finish at the Crystal Springs Pettigrew Area at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. 1 aided/water station will be located at the 2nd mile of the run.
