7th Annual 5K Run / 1.5K Walk raising funds to help local providers of essential services to the homeless in Los Angeles. Griffith Park, Crystal Springs Equestrian Trail, a scenic flat course, chip-timed run or self-paced walk for individuals, groups and families.
There are many situations that lead to homelessness… broken families, job loss/financial difficulties, drug/alcohol addiction or mental health issues. Oftentimes, there are multiple issues involved that require different resources to address specific needs. Many organizations are working to help homeless adults, teens, children and families through shelters, religious institutions, school programs, and food pantries. From food, clothing or housing to medical care and employment opportunities, more help is desperately needed.
Pennies From Kevan Foundation ('PFKF') raises funds to help local homeless services agencies provide these essential services so that more needs can be met. L.A.'s newly elected mayor, Karen Bass, made it her FIRST priority on day one of her term, to declare a STATE OF EMERGENCY ON HOMELESSNESS! The need has never been greater and we thank you for helping by participating in this annual fundraiser or by making a one-time or recurring donation to PFKF.
