Join us virtually! Northgate and Students Run LA are joining forces to bring you an affordable, family-friendly 5K Holiday Series! Join us from the comfort of your home or your favorite local route.
The Northgate Holiday Series includes 3 events which span from October 2020 to January 2021:
1. Dia De Los Muertos 5K - October 26th thru November 3rd - Let's celebrate and honor our beloved ancestors, family, and friends with a 5K run/walk. Celebrate life and honor your loved ones by dressing up while you run!
2. Tamalito Run 5K - November 24th thru December 2nd - What better way to burn off some calories during the Holidays than by going on a 3.1 mile run/walk!
3. Posadas Run 5K - December 15th thru December 23rd - Let's commemorate Joseph and Mary by walking or running a 5K. While it won't be from Nazareth to Bethlehem, it can be from your home to your local park!
When you register for all 3 events in the Northgate Holiday Series you also get a special bonus medal!
What is a Virtual Run?
The Northgate Holiday Series is a series of 3 virtual runs for the whole family to celebrate the festive season. But what is a virtual run? A virtual run is a running event that you can complete anywhere in the world, anytime. Just like at an in-person race, everyone who participates will get a customized bib and a medal. All you need to do is signup, go for your run, share your results and you're all set!
Here's a step by step breakdown of how to participate:
1. Register for the Northgate Holiday Series or any of the individual runs.
2. Share your unique referral link on social media to invite friends and family to join and get $5 back when they sign up.
3. Join our Virtual Runners Facebook Group and post pictures, share stories, and connect with other virtual runners who are taking on the challenge.
4. Print out your individualized bib.
5. Run your 5Ks
6. Share a picture from each run and follow along with our fun themes!
7. Submit your results on RunSignUp the weekend of each run.
8. Receive your medals and complete the puzzle! Medals will be shipped the week after each run and may take up to 14 days to arrive.*
*Due to production delays the Dia De Los Muertos 5K Medal will be send in Mid November
