Rady Children's Hospital - Child Abuse Prevention Month Virtual Challenge

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the Chadwick Center wants to honor every step you take towards protecting children! In 2021, Rady staff made over 2,219 reports of child abuse, taking steps to protect children from future harm. Now we want you to take steps to bring awareness to this important issue.

Our Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAPM) Virtual Challenge starts April 1, 2023, and ends April 30, 2023. Sign up as a team with your department/unit (limited to 20 people, but each unit can have as many teams as they want), and a trophy will be awarded to the team that walks/runs the most miles throughout the month. The trophy will be engraved with your department and each year will be awarded to the new winning department to display. In addition, the winning team will get to have a pizza or donut party (your choice)!

**For the past two years, 3 East Medical Surgical has won the trophy and is proudly displaying it! Which team will win bragging rights (and free food) this year???

The challenge is FREE!

Track your miles throughout the month - including while you're walking the halls during your shift, hiking through our beautiful hills, jogging through our beautiful city, or wherever else your steps take you. Click here https://runsignup.com/Race/RegistrationLookup/?raceId=108094&renderMode=results_mode to enter your miles or use the RaceJoy app to track (you must have your phone with you to track via Racejoy so please follow hospital/department policy as it relates to tracking while you're at work.) You'll be able to check the leadership board regularly to see how your team is doing!

The great thing is that this is a virtual challenge allowing you to run or walk wherever and whenever you want. You don't even have to do it every day! Just log in your miles and time after each run/walk between April 1 through April 30, or use Racejoy to track.
