Ombudsman Appreciation Dinner

Fleet and Family Support Center, in partnership with the Metro San Diego Naval Bases, is honored in hosting the Ombudsman Appreciation Night on September 13, 2024, from 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM at the Admiral Kidd Catering and Conference Center. Every year in September, a day is set aside for Navy personnel and families to show appreciation to command Ombudsmen for their dedicated service to the fleet, fighter, and family. This practice goes back to the inception of the program in 1970, when ADM Elmo R. Zumwalt, Jr. introduced the Navy Family Command Ombudsman Program via Z-Gram 24. We invite you to take this opportunity to celebrate and express well-deserved appreciation and gratitude to our Metro San Diego Ombudsmen Community.
