Thank you for your overwhelming support! Advance registration for the race is now sold out. A limited number of same day registration spots will be available starting at 7:30am on Saturday June 24th. Come to the race start to register in person!
The SFFR Pride Run 2023 will be held on Saturday, June 24th in beautiful Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Whether you are a walker, casual, or avid runner, join us as we come together to celebrate and support our LGBTQIA+ community. As you run through the park, you'll see all of the colors of the rainbow, hear the cheers of fellow community members, and feel the energy and excitement of the event. And when you cross the finish line, you'll know that you've made a difference in the lives of the LGBTQIA+ community by supporting this year's beneficiary, Transgender Law Center.
Race Details
The 5K and the 10K will both start at 9am on Saturday, June 24 near the intersection of Middle Drive West and Metson Road in Golden Gate Park. Please allow plenty of time if you are picking up your packet or checking a bag prior to the race.
- Advance packet pickup will be available on Friday, June 23, 12-5:30pm at a Runner's Mind in San Francisco (3573 Sacramento Street). Participants are encouraged to pick up their packets prior to race day if possible.
- Same-day packet pickup will be available starting at 7:30am on June 24 near the starting line.
- Same-day registration opens at 7:30am on June 24 for $50 (5K or 10K) until we reach our course limit. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee t-shirt availability for race day registrants.
- Bag check will be available beginning at 7:30am for participants at the race start.
- A fun pre-race Kids race (no registration required!) will take place at 8:30am.
- We will have refreshments, and entertainment as well as a post-race award ceremony.
- The awards ceremony for both the 5K and 10K will take place at 10:30am.
- Awards will go to the top three finishers in the overall men, women, and non-binary divisions as well as for each age group: under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over.
Participants are strongly encouraged to take public transit or other transportation to the race. Parking will not be available at the start or finish area.
The 10K course is two loops of the 5K course.
Beneficiary
We are pleased that proceeds from the SFFR Pride Run 2023 will support this year's beneficiary, Transgender Law Center (TLC), an Oakland-based non-profit organization that works tirelessly to fight for transgender rights and justice. TLC changes laws, policies, and attitudes so that all people can live safely, authentically, and free from discrimination regardless of their gender identity or expression. TLC is the largest national trans-led organization advocating for a world in which all people are free to define themselves and their futures. Grounded in legal expertise and committed to racial justice, TLC employs a variety of community-driven strategies to keep transgender and gender-nonconforming people alive, thriving, and fighting for liberation.
