Vaqueros 5k Stampede

Our first annual Vaqueros 5k Stampede is a challenging, hilly course through the Santa Barbara City College Campus and Pershing Park. Come join us and set some records while helping to support ALL SBCC Vaqueros Athletics' Teams.

The course starts at the world famous La Playa Stadium track. Runners will go across Loma Alta and up the steep hill to West Campus. Loop around West Campus, over the Loma Alta bridge and across campus where you'll take the service road down to historic Pershing Park and around the baseball and softball fields. The final leg of the race is back up the challenging service road from Pershing Park, through East Campus past the bus stop, and back down Loma Alta with a spectacular photo op of the ocean and palm trees on your way to the finish line at La Playa Stadium. 

Leashed pooches are welcome to run the race with you, but not allowed inside of La Playa stadium, so please bring a sitter for the start and the finish. There is a grassy area near the main gate to La Playa where they can wait. 

There will be awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall for both men and women and for the following age groups: 

Male: 10 & un, 11-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+     

Female: 10 & un, 11-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+

The awards ceremony will begin at approximately 10 AM. 

*T-shirts are guaranteed with preregistration only. 

*Packet pick-up will be available at the La Playa Stadium track from 12-4 PM on Friday, September 27th and from 7 AM on Saturday, September 28th. Main Campus Map
