EVENT SCHEDULE:


9am to 10:15am – Packet/Bib pick up

10:30am – 5k Run begins followed by 1 Mile Run/Walkers

11:00am - Festival begins (food, music, kids activities, vendor village)

11:30am - Kids Races

12:00pm – Races Conclude

2:00pm - Free Drawing Winner Announced

4:00pm – Festival ends

COURSE DETAILS:

The 5k and 1 mile races will start and end in the wood chip parking lot at the Truckee Regional Park near the start of the disc golf course. The races will take place on the Legacy Trail, the 1 mile and will contain a minor downhill section towards the river and uphill section back to the finish line, the 5k will have an additional section of uphill/downhill on a dirt path as well as at the turnaround point at the 267 bridge. 

The Kids Races will take place on the Ballfields at the Truckee Regional Park.

FESTIVAL INFORMATION:

The 75th Fall Festival and Fun Run will provide an opportunity to gather as a community and celebrate our last 75 years together. Open freely to the public, the festival will take place on the Great Lawn at the Truckee Regional Park from 11am to 4pm. Enjoy music from a local DJ and Dad's Lame Playlist, featuring our very own Dr. Justin Ward! Join us for this family friendly afternoon including local food trucks, pumpkin painting/decorating. face painting, local emergency vehicles, and yard games. At 2pm, we will do our free opportunity drawing of a BLIX Packa E-bike. 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • The race course WILL remain open to other pedestrians. Please be mindful of your surroundings and attentive/respectful of other Legacy Trail users.
  • Participants will be asked to stay on the right side of this walking/bike path for the entire race. 
  • There will be a water/first aid station available along the 5k course. 
  • All race participants will receive a free Hot Apple Cider, an energizing snack from Mountain Lotus Provisions and an ice cream from Super Swirl
  • Local Food Trucks with food for purchase will be available at the Festival after the run/walk.
  • Parking will be available, although limited, at the Truckee Regional Park – 10050 Brockway Rd, in Truckee, CA. Participants can also park near the Truckee Skate Park and Truckee Rodeo Grounds.
