Description
2nd annual Manitou 5K! Come celebrate the beauty of Manitou Springs! Race starts and ends in Fields park. Run along the rolling creek, view the art along the Creekwalk, loop the beautiful parks full of murals, sculptures, disc golf, skateparks and more. The path is flat and accessible to all. Run/walk. Bring your family, bring your neighbor, bring your friends! See map attached. Chip timed. T-shirt designed by MSSD14 art students. All proceeds go to Manitou Springs School District.

Race day details
Parking - There is free parking along El Paso Blvd and a parking lot across Beckers Lane near Mustang/Maestas field. A half block to the east you can find parking at the Buffalo Lodge if you head to their back parking lot, and a half block to the west in the Manitou Aquatic Center parking lot. One mile away is the Manitou Springs Middle and High school parking lots that are free and available.
Race-day schedule - Bibs available for pick up starting at 8am in Fields Park near the starting line. Race starts at 9am. The start will be in multiple waves.
Race results - once the race starts there will be a button on the top right of this registration site that says, "RESULTS". We have more award categories this year!
To celebrate our youngest and up and coming runners we will add a 0-12 and 13-18 category, in addition to 19-39 and Masters (40 and up) from 2024.

5K Course - Improved start with waves! Come celebrate the beauty of Manitou Springs! Race starts and ends in Fields park. Head east along the Creekwalk towards the bridge where the first race in Manitou was held in 1919! Turn around a cone, and return west towards the mountains. The path will go back the other side of Fields park and continue to Memorial Park, loop Memorial park, returning along the Creekwalk downhill to a very speedy finish in the middle of the grass at Fields park. Along this course you will see the rolling creek, be near the placard of the first Manitou racers, run around Fields park including the disc golf course, tennis courts, pickle ball and skatepark, view the brand new art installation featuring local artists, follow the creative wall murals along the Creekwalk, pass the pool and basketball courts at the fitness center, view the Manizoo concrete structure in Memorial park, get a peek at another wall mural along the creek and the loop the train model at the western most part of the trail before heading back. Many additional statues and pieces of art to spot along the way. Lots of views of each other to cheer and congratulate throughout the race. The path is flat and accessible to all. Run/walk. Bring your family, bring your neighbor, bring your friends! Please no strollers, baby joggers, animals, bikes, trikes, earbuds or headphones. See map and course highlights attached below.
Toilets - There is a restroom and porta pottys in Fields park and porta pottys at the half way point near Memorial park.
Volunteers - This entire event is put on by MSSD14 students, staff, parents, with all proceeds going to the school. Snack, drink, music and lively environment at the end of the race! Party in the Park! Come and enjoy!

Cancellation/refunds - Refunds are not allowed for this race. We will run in any weather so please dress appropriately! In the incredibly unlikely event that this race is cancelled due to unsafe weather or situations, we will have T-shirts available for pick up at an advertised time/place and hope you will still get out on a 5K run or walk when possible! We sincerely appreciate your support of our schools, staff and students!
