Description
We are excited to bring back the popular "Fun Run" to the Henkel grounds and welcome our neighbors, WFSB to participate as well!
For those not familiar with the Fun Run, each participant will register themselves and ask people to sponsor them to walk/run a loop. The participant will collect the funds and provide to the designated Henkel team member during packet pick up along with the donation tracker.
All donations to benefit The Denise D'Ascenzo Foundation (thedenisefoundation.com).
T-Shirt will be given to all registrants; sizes are on a first come first serve basis.

FAQ's
General participant information
1. Is this run walker friendly?
Yes, this is a fun run for all ability and paces. We just ask walkers to line up behind the runners at the starting line. Please also move to the right on the path as it is narrow to allow runners to pass you.
2. Are there other ways to participate then running/walking?
Of course, just grab some colleagues and create your own cheerleading squad. You don't have to sign up to be a cheerleader and you can still win a prize (see below).
3. The sign-up link above doesn't work - how do I sign up?

4.When will the sign-up close?
The online sign-up will close 1 day before the event.
5. Is there on-site sign-up?
Yes, you can also sign up on the day of the event, just come to the "Runner Registration" tent.
Sponsoring/Donation
1. How do I raise money through the run/walk?
Find somebody who “sponsors” you to walk/run. They commit to donating per 1-mile loop you did (e.g. if somebody is willing to donate $5 per loop and you do 3 loops that person will give you $15 for charity)
2.Can I have multiple people sponsor me?
Absolutely, you can have as many people sponsor you as you can find.
3. Can I have people outside of work sponsor me?
Sure, it can be colleagues as well as friends and family.
4. Can someone sponsor me through a general donation instead of per loop?
Yes, you can just track their total amount donated instead of per loop.
5. Do I need to fill the form “Registration Donation Form” (see pdf below)?
You don’t need to, but it will help you track your donation commitments
6. How do I submit the money raised?
You can bring the donations (cash or check) when you pick up your race packets or the afternoon after the race at Amy Krebs desk (third floor, left off the elevators)
7. 1. What will the money be used for?
The money raised will go to The Denise D’Ascenzo Foundation.
Date
1.What is the time and date of the event?
Thursday (9/28), Race-day pick-up from 10 am. Race start time is 11:30 am.
2. What if it rains?
The event will take place, rain or shine, only if the weather conditions are unsafe will we postpone the event.
3. How long can I run/walk?
The aim is to be on the course for 1 hour, but we’ll let you finish your last loop.
4. When can I pick up my race package (bib, T-Shirt)?
Please come Amy Krebs desk to pick up your race packets and bags (Located on the third floor, left off the elevators) on Tuesday or Wednesday morning (Sept 26/Sept 27). You can also pick up your race packet prior to the start at 10 AM at the start of the run.
Course
1. What is the course?
The course will be the one-mile course around Henkel (yes, including the up-hill battle).
2. Where is the Start/Finish line?
Finalizing Start/Finish now due to current construction.
3. What about traffic/people leaving from work?
There will be people coordinating traffic and runners at the crossing.
4. Will there be water stations on the course
Yes, there will be two stations on the course and one at the start/finish line (see course map)
5. Will there be catering?
There will be refreshments served after the run.
Prizes
1. Will there be prizes?
For Henkel employees there will be a vacation day prize for: the most money raised, the best costume and the best cheerleading team
2. When will I know if I won?
As donations will still come in until after the run, the winner for the most money raised will only be announced after the run.
Costumes
1. What costume can I wear?
Theme TBD – Stay Tuned!
Cheerleading
1. How many people can be on the Cheerleading team?
There can only be max 5 individuals getting a prize, but you can have more people on the team (as long as you agree on who gets the prize)
2. Can I invite family or friends to cheer me on?
Yes, but they can't win a prize.
3. Do I register for cheerleading?
The online registration is only for runners/walkers. You can sign up your cheerleading team on the day of the event at the "Runner sign-up" tent.
T-shirt
1. Will all participants get a T-shirt
Yes, all registrants will receive a complimentary T-shirt.
2. What sizes do you have?
We will have sizes from S to 2XL, we’ll hand them out on a first come first serve basis.
