Kids Helping Kids is proud to hold our Second Annual Run for Good 5k!

The Kids Helping Kids Run for Good was created to celebrate health, the beauty of nature, the gift of family and bring awareness to the wonderful work of our student ambassadors. All walkers and runners are welcome to join us for this family-friendly event. Last year our inaugural run was in the form of a virtual 5k so we are very excited to welcome new and familiar faces live in person this year! Join the entire Kids Helping Kids community for a celebratory day as we run/walk to raise money for the organization and show that we are stronger together! 

At Kids Helping Kids, our mission is to develop leadership skills among middle and high school age students through youth-led service projects. We empower students to have a proactive attitude toward change by taking their passion and turning it into action to benefit low-income children in the community. Every project is youth inspired, managed and led. This model helps students build 21 st Century skills in communication, relationships and collaboration, critical thinking and decision making, and initiative and self-direction while working in groups to fulfill many local and global community needs. This unique approach shows students the power they have to make an impact in the world and in the lives of others.

Over 5,000 kids from 132 local schools have been involved with KHK because KHK gives students a voice, the tools, the belief in themselves and a path to make a difference now. Our vision is to help meet needs in our community while expanding our volunteers’ learning and involvement around social issues they care about. By developing leadership and social responsibility in our youth, we instill critical knowledge; leadership skills and empathy needed to enable the next generation to flourish. As KHK grows, we hope to expand our reach, helping all kids realize their full potential as leaders and change-makers.
