WE ARE SORRY- THERE WILL NOT BE ANY ONLINE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE SATURDAY OR SUNDAY- WE WILL BE SOLD OUT.

Here's your chance to celebrate Mother's Day combined with a post-Cinco de Mayo flavor!

It's the first of its kind and one of the few Mom's Day events this year.

Start the day working off the calories you are bound to incur when taking mom, grandma, or anyone else out later in the day!

Our 5k course is pretty darn flat, scenic, and friendly. You'll be running (or walking) through the quiet neighborhood of Lordship in Stratford (so please use your inside voices).

We are starting early so it gives you extra time to get back home and make sure you are not late for the rest of the day.

This event will have modifications and safety protocols that meet or exceed CT State guidelines for races (yes they are online!) Please read the safety outline below.

This event was limited to 150 people- because we have
only 150 specially designed 16oz glasses. Sorry!

                  I should have bought more!

THANKS TO TACO LOCO of FAIRFIELD ALL PAID PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A $10 GIFT CARD TO USE ANY DAY THEY ARE OPEN- through July 4th! Details below.

Everyone will receive a commemorative glass and other swag as available.

Wrapped snacks & bottled water available after you are finished.

REGISTRATION FEES - all registration is completely online. NO paper entries on May 9 if not sold out - use your phone!
$25 first 50 people THIS HAS ENDED- we are at 91 as of 4/25
$28 for registrations 51-100  THIS HAS ENDED
$30 from 101-150
$35 If the 150 limit is not reached by 5/8 the late reg is May 9. It is online only and ends 15 min before the start (8:15 am)
State guidelines do not allow for paper/in-person registrations- You must have an online device available to register that day.

The NEWLY DESIGNED 5K COURSE: https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=7578168
This new route will decrease potential vehicle encounters and still keep the great water view along Park Blvd. It is pretty darn flat! You are asked to run to the LEFT SIDE, facing traffic safely, on all roads except on the way back along the golf course (from approx 2.3mi to 2.7mi.) Once in the park driveway, you'll stay on the left, back to the finish.
The course is marked with long white FLOUR arrows on the ground, arrowed turning signs at the turns, and highway cones for safety and to alert traffic. Roads are open so you need to be aware of cars, people, dog walkers, and their various distractions including probably walking on the wrong side of the road!
THE ONE MILE WALK COURSE: Follows the 5k route the first 6/10 mile. Then signs will direct the one mile only to a left turn on Riverdale Dr., followed by a left turn onto Wayne's walk. This path includes a beautiful seaside view, along the beach, back to the finish.

*We REQUEST that you NOT use earpods of any type so you can hear any warnings and instructions during your participation.
NO WATER TABLES ON THE COURSE nor water cups at the start/finish- CT guidelines. Carry your own fluids if needed.

POST EVENT GOODIES: Wrapped granola snack bars, bananas, bottled water, and other safe/approved items as available.
AWARDS: sorry there are no age group nor overall prizes in 2021
In accordance with CT state guidelines, we cannot host an awards ceremony nor post-event gatherings.
(These could be reinstated and we will post on this site if they are allowed.)

THE TACO LOCO DETAILSLocated at 3170 Fairfield Ave, in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, CT is a long-standing, very generous, and very friendly family restaurant. Known for their classic Mexican eats & margaritas they feature a casual setting and a great patio.

Since the BIG Cinco de Mayo party is not being held this year, Miguel and Zach Tomasio have partnered with us to bring you a little flavor of the holiday.

A $10 card will be given to each paid entrant. Use it any time on any day till July 4th. One card per table and spend a min. of $50 (not including tax/tip).

EVENT SAFETY MODIFICATIONS
COVID CONCERNS- PLEASE DO NOT participate if you have exhibited any symptoms or are running a fever. (Running-good. Fever- NOT GOOD)
Thanks to the cooperation and support by many town departments in Stratford we will be able to present this outdoor event. No building will be used, safe distances and safety protocols will be in place, and State guidelines will be met.
HOWEVER-we all must be prepared for any change that can happen at any time which may mean a suspension of this live event, and result in a 'virtual' run.

With fixed costs and pre-payment of many items, this means we CANNOT under any conditions REFUND any registration fees. Whether we are live or virtual our commitment to our charity will be maintained. We hope you can support this commitment and join us.

IMPORTANT DETAIL- There will be a 150 person limit total for these events.
MASKS REQUIRED- We must adhere to all safety protocols so please help us by keeping masks on prior to the start line and immediately after you finish. And of course, please keep a safe distance when you arrive, warm-up, chat with friends, and after you are done.

MODIFICATIONS FOR A SAFE TIMED START- We will be using a chip-timed, "open start" format FOR THE 5k EVENT ONLY.
We have been successful in using this in various races around the county this year. A maximum of five people at the start line leaving at 10-15 second intervals means that a field of 150 can safely clear the start in five minutes or less.

WE ASK THE ONE MILE, UNTIMED WALKERS TO START AFTER THE RUNNERS WHERE POSSIBLE- thank you

WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR A SAFE 5K START- If you are truly at a speedy running level (6-7min pace per mile or under) we urge you to be at the start early and ready to go at 8:30 am. This will avoid crowding on the course and help everyone to run more safely. Thanks!

ON THE COURSE- We ask you to stay safe, announce if you are passing from behind, and not to run in groups.
