Nearly 1,000 runners/walkers completed the 2022 Pride Run 5K. Come join us again in 2023. REGISTRATION OPENS AT NOON 2/20/2023.

Race Course:

  1. The race starts and finishes inside the Historic Congressional Cemetery.
  2. Please run and walk carefully because the course is narrow and has 2-way traffic outside the cemetery.
  3. Outside the cemetery, the trail is open to the public. Please use extreme caution and be courtesy to others.
  4. There will be a water stop about halfway on the course (water only). The map below only provides estimated location.

Other Information:

  1. Dogs: The Historic Congressional Cemetery will only allow service dogs. The grounds will be closed to all other K9s (non-service dogs) during the event.
  2. Scooters: No kick scooter nor electrical scooter is allowed.
  3. Strollers: Stroller is allowed but please use extreme caution due to the narrow course.
  4. Head phones: We strongly discourage the use of head phones for safety reason.
  5. Trash and recycle: Please help us consolidate your trash and recycle in designated area. Please do not leave cups and bottles on the headstones.

Virtual 5K Result Submission (only applied to those registered for the Virtual 5K):

  1. You can start submitting result NOW and we will accept your submission until 11:59pm on June 09, 2023. You can run as many times as you want, but only submit your best result. We will use an honor system. However, the race director reserves the right to ask for verification of extraordinary submission. Every submission will overwrite the previous result. It is a 5K, so be sure to run 3.1 miles. There are two ways to submit your results.
  2. Go your RunSignup Profile then click submit virtual results for the 2023 Virtual DC Front Runners Pride Run 5K.
  3. Go to https://runsignup.com/Race/Results/55272 then click on Submit Virtual Results. Enter the name you registered with the race. Click Lookup Registration. Once you verify your information, click Submit Virtual Results. The rest should be intuitive.

Would you like to join the DC Front Runners?

DC Front Runners is a running, walking, and social club for LGBTQ people and their friends in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We are open to all people regardless of race, pace, age, gender, sexual orientation, or athletic ability. Our group is very diverse with respect to speed, distance, and intensity, and we encourage and support all who participate. While membership is encouraged, you do not have to join to give us a try! 

Our club has almost 400 active members. In addition to our group runs and walks, we sponsor many social events so you can make new friends and join other members for dinner, happy hour, or other activities. Some activity reductions are in place during the local pandemic restrictions.
