DC Virtual Summer Series

This is a series of ten progressively longer races, held virtually in the Washington, DC area. It is modeled after the long running Westport Road Runners Summer Series in Connecticut. You do not need to reside in the DMV area in order to participate. Completion of five races are needed to be eligible for series prizes. 

The fee is $40 for the 10-race Series, $5 per individual race, and $10 for the two longest events in the series if registering separately. Those registering for the series will receive a race t-shirt at the end of the summer. 

Each week, one runner will be chosen at random to receive a gift card to a DC restaurant. 

You will be able to run the race distance any time on the weekend of the race, and submit your time online, where it will be compiled with the results of other virtual competitors. In order to be eligible for series prizes, either overall or in your age group, we ask that you use a GPS-based app or device to measure your run, given the non-standard course distances. It is not necessary to post photo evidence of your run; simply use that information when you input your performance. RunSignUp has just introduced the ability to upload from a GPS device or app such as Strava or Connect. Read the instructions HERE.

RunSignUp has also added the ability for runners to upload photos to this site. So, after you complete your Virtual race, post a photo or two of your run - at the start, finish or in between. The more we get, the better! Just click on the Photo tab on the left side of the screen and post away

Grand Prix scoring will be used and the winner of each division will get a t-shirt upon the conclusion of the series.
