7:00AM EDT - 2:00PM EDT

THIS RACE HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO HURRICANE IAN

New Date: Sunday, May 7, 2023

Hello TRR Family!

We apologize for the weather! In light of the weather forecast due to hurricane Ian, we feel it is best to err on the side of caution and postpone the 18th Annual TRR D.C. Biathlon. We have rescheduled the event for Sunday May 7th, 2023.

We based our difficult decision on the combination of less than ideal temps (in the low 60's), rain, and most importantly the wind. These 3 elements combined would make it uncomfortable or in some cases hypothermic.

It is important that all of our participants, volunteers, friends and families stay comfortable and most importantly safe. With the new date set, we will offer all new participants, who have not kayaked before, or feel unsure of their kayaking skills, an opportunity for a free kayak lesson the weekend before the biathlon. The kayaking lessons are scheduled for Saturday April 29, 2023 from 12-4pm and Sunday April 30, 2023 from 12-4pm. More  details to follow. We will give plenty of notice before the free kayak lessons on that weekend.

We will send a more detailed email later on this evening regarding swag bags, t-shirts, and the free kayak lesson the last weekend of April 2023.

Thank you for your understanding and patience with us during this unique situation.
