Description
Come join us in this historic event along the scenic coastline of Delaware, our First State, to support our Wounded Warriors and Homeless Veterans. The race will encompass four picturesque beaches. Beginning at the historic Fort Mile's Parade Field, Cape Henlopen State Park. Participants will travel through the state park and race down the beachline, simulating marching on the desert sands of the Middle East. The event is divided into a 5k, 10k, & Half Marathon Challenge. Participants are able to choose to compete in a run or military march (The heavy march individuals will carry a 15lb. pack).
** A "March" is a Race Walk.
If you cannot make it to the Great State of Delaware; we have a virtual option available for the Run and March events
The event has three major components: Competition (5K, 10K, Half), Education(Postponed 2022), and Celebration(Postponed 2022). The race through the state parks and beaches of Delaware is a competition for all levels and will honor the men and women who have sacrificed for our freedoms in the Middle East.
Everyone pre-registered (by April 23, 2021) and signed-in to the Race4Warriors event will be rewarded with a commemorative military challenge coin and an event t-shirt. Everyone registered after April 23, 2021 will receive the same rewards as supplies last. However, everyone will leave with the knowledge of participating in an event which truly supports and honors our Veterans! Our women and men deployed to the Middle East do not stop due to the weather; so rain or shine, come out and enjoy our race and festivities. For more details and the rules of the race, check us out at Race4Warriors.org. On behalf of myself and our Board of Directors, made up of all retired Chief Master Sergeant First Sergeants, thank you for considering joining the Race4Warriors!
Veterans are eligible for a 10% discount. Please checkout Race4Warriors.org for more details.
