Description
The Fearless 5K will bring the spirit of the Fearless Girl to the streets of Newark, Delaware on March 31, 2018. The Fearless Girl took her stand directly in front of the iconic Wall Street bull in New York City one year ago, during International Women's Month, to bring attention to issues faced by women in the workplace. One year later, the power and importance of the message behind the Fearless Girl statue has exploded across the American scene. And Delaware, the First State, can proudly assert that is the true birth-place of the Fearless Girl. The Fearless Girl statue was created in the Delaware studio of artist/sculptor Kristen Visbal, and the models who helped give the Fearless Girl her look of strength and perseverance are two young Delaware girls. So, everyone is invited to come out on March 31 to Main Street in Newark to Run/Walk and to Take A Stand at the Fearless 5K in support of Mid-Atlantic Ballet and all of Delaware's Fearless Girls!!!
MAB Honors The Fearless Girl Artist
As part of our 20th Anniversary, Mid-Atlantic Ballet (MAB) is celebrating the inspiration and artistry of the Fearless Girl statue and Fearless Girl Artist, Kristen Visbal, in a number of ways, including the Fearless 5K event. Ms. Visbal is proud to support MAB and she will be a guest of honor at the Fearless 5K and at MAB's Fearless Artist Showcase on June 2, 2018. The proceeds from the Fearless 5K and our other events help support the non-profit work and outreach of MAB. MAB is firmly committed to inspiring, developing and supporting the Minds, the Art and the Bodies of Fearless Dancers across our region.
Exciting Fearless Girl Post-Race Activities
"Fearless Girl" activities at the post- race party include: (1) A first-ever "Fearless Girl" flash-mob photo will be taken with participants (of all ages) who want to take part; (2) A larger-than-life Fearless Girl "wonder wall" will be set up for participants to sign and inscribe with their own Fearless Girl message; and (3) An Art Station will include Fearless Girl coloring pages and a sidewalk chalk area

24 SEVEN is a six piece classic rock band fronted by two lead vocalists. Performing the best music from the 70's and 80's.
