Join Our Mission! We believe that together, we can eliminate veteran suicide.
Proceeds benefit K9 Partners for Patriots Service Dog Training Program in Brooksville, Florida. Your support directly impacts the lives of homeless shelter dogs and veterans struggling with PTSD, TBI, and MST.
The K9 Patriots 5K Run/Walk 2019 was a huge success and we’re looking forward to an even larger turnout this year! To ensure a great 5K event for 2020 we’re moving forward with a virtual 5K run/walk. Not only do you get to run or walk and achieve a personal goal, but you’re supporting a great cause!
This will be a "Virtual" event and you can run or walk your virtual run anywhere and at any pace you want during the weekend of November 14-15. After you run, sign in to your RunSignUp account profile, you can access the K9 Patriots 5k race and select results, search for your name and submit your miles ran, your time and even a selfie! Sorry but there will be no age group awards, but there will be a virtual leaderboard.

You’ll receive a race package including the following items that will be mailed to you starting October 1, 2020:

• neck gaiter (can also be used as a cool face covering)
Get all the excitement of participating in a race without crowds and long lines where adequate distancing would be difficult to maintain.
We encourage everyone to share photos of you and your dog or team wearing your race gear and medal. Post images to social media using the hashtag

Where do the proceeds go?
Proceeds benefit K9 Partners for Patriots, a nonprofit organization proudly and solely devoted to teaching veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Military Sexual Trauma (MST) how to train and care for their own service dog. K9 Partners for Patriots adopts dogs from homeless animal shelters and rescues and matches them with program veterans. The dog, complete training course, and all necessary equipment are absolutely FREE to the veteran.
(Since this is a fundraiser, and set up as a virtual run, there will be no refunds)
What is included with the race entry?
All registered participants receive a Neck Gaiter, a Unique finisher medal, and a traditional bib.
Is this a "Live" timed race/event?
This is not a timed event. This will be a "Virtual" event and you can run or walk your virtual run anywhere and at any pace you want. However, with your RunSignUp account profile, you can access the K9 Patriots 5k race and select results, search for your name and submit your miles ran, your time, and even a selfie! There will be a virtual leaderboard (Unfortunately there will be no age group awards this year)
When can we register?
Anytime before November 13. The sooner you register the sooner you'll receive your neck gaiter, bib, and medal. However, if you wait there might not be any gaiters left. Packets will begin to mailed out on October 1st, 2020. (Registration cutoff date to be guaranteed a gaiter is November 1. After that the gaiters will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.)
Did you start or Join a team?
Great! Spread the news and invite friends, family and/or coworkers to join in the fun! There will be prizes for the largest family and corporate teams with the most registered runners. Random prizes for randomly selected runners throughout the month. If you did not join a team during your registration, you can access your race through your RunSignUp account and join or start a team at a later date.
Where and when can I get my packet?
Packets will be mailed to the address you provide during signup and will start shipping on October 1, 2020!
