Get ready to celebrate Sea Turtle Awareness Day! Register for Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s Sea Turtle Awareness Day Virtual 5K, and help support CMA’s sea turtle conservation efforts! Whether you're running, walking, or simply showing your support, your participation will help make a difference for sea turtles!
This is a Virtual 5k and runners can participate from anywhere and race at their own pace between March 30 and April 12. Race medals can only be shipped within the United States.
Sea Turtle Awareness Day will be celebrated at Clearwater Marine Aquarium on Saturday, April 4. Join us for a day filled with fun and educational activities for the whole family while supporting sea turtle conservation as we prepare for the 2026 sea turtle nesting season in Florida.

Virtual Race Participation
Submit Your Virtual 5K Race Results!
Once you have registered, you can submit your virtual 5K race time between March 30 and April 12, 2026. Log in, go to the Race Results page, and look up your participant information to submit your virtual race results.
Finisher's Race Medal
Every registered race participant will receive a unique commemorative medal made of recycled material.
Protect the Nest Prize:
The runner with the fastest time will win a personalized Protect the Nest plaque!
Plog and Pick Up Trash!
Race participants are also encouraged to plog or pick up trash seen along the run. Snap a photo and share your run and clean up efforts by tagging Clearwater Marine Aquarium on social media!
Sea Turtle Awareness Day at Clearwater Marine Aquarium on April 4, 2026
Celebrate Sea Turtle Awareness Day on April 4, 2026, at Clearwater Marine Aquarium from 10am through 2pm! The Sea Turtle Conservation Program at CMA will be preparing for sea turtle nesting season with nest stake painting, custom Protect the Nest plaques, and so much more! We will also have many sea turtle conservation partners and CMA teams joining us with additional information to help protect sea turtles and their habitats.
Additional Sea Turtle Awareness Day activities will be happening at Lake Belleview on Saturday, April 4.
Lake Belleview Cleanup event
Come Join Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s Sea Turtle Nesting Team for a lake cleanup! Get the chance to learn about sea turtle conservation and how you can help our local sea turtle population.
