RACE:
Join us for a chip-timed race at the picturesque Omni Amelia Island Racquet Park, conveniently situated next to the Verandah restaurant. The course offers a scenic route that winds through the beautiful, tree-canopied resort at 102 Racquet Park Drive. Whether you choose to run or walk, you'll be in for an enjoyable experience. Strollers are welcome, but please note that pets and bicycles are not permitted on the course.
Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the First Coast YMCA, supporting their community initiatives. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to enjoy a delightful run while contributing to a great cause!

ENTRY FEE
5K Entry fee before June 15: $35 per adult, $20 per child (12 and under).
5K Entry fee after June 12: $45 per adult, $25 per child (12 and under).
PACKET PICK UP
Pre-registered participants can pick-up race packet on Friday, July 4, from 11am-5pm at the Racquet Park conference center. Packet Pick-up will also be available on race day at race site.
DAY OF EVENT SCHEDULE
6:30 a.m. – Packet Pick-up opens
8:00 a.m. – 5K Race Start
8:45 a.m. - Kid's Fun Run
9:15 a.m. – Awards Ceremony
Race T-shirt guaranteed for all pre-registered participants.
COURSE
This 5K Run/Walk is on an open course roadway.
PARKING
Parking is plentiful next to the race start location. The race starts and ends at the same location.
TIMING & SCORING
5K Race will be timed and scored with a disposable chip provided, which will be attached to the back of the bib. Bib's must be on the front of the runner for accurate timing.
Awards
Medals for top 3 overall males, top 3 overall females, top 3 male and female age groups will receive awards for 5K race.
Age groups include 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74,75-79,80-84,85-89, 90+
*all participants will receive a finisher medal

How long is the course?
The 5K is 3.1 miles.
How will I be timed?
The race uses an electronic timing system that records race time and place via a transponder chip that will be given out at registration. Each individual competing in the 5K is required to use the race chip. Official times will not be recorded without a chip. There will be a clock at the finish line to view your time.
How will I receive my results?
Official results are posted for the top runners in each category, race staff has all results for on-site inquiries and results are posted on the race website.
Can I use my own race chip or tag rather than utilizing the one that is provided?
No, you will be provided with a custom chip.
What if I need help along the way?
Qualified emergency medical professionals are available to provide assistance at the start/finish lines.
Can I participate in the event with my dog?
Sorry, as much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets on the course.
Can I participate with a stroller?
Yes, nurturing future generations of runners is a priority and demonstrating healthy lifestyles to our kids is special. Please, however, start in the later part of the runners.
Should I bring my own water?
Yes, but there will be a water station on the course as well at the finish.
Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration. We are unable to issue refunds. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks. Future credit will be applied to future races.
Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them. If there is lighting in the area, the race will be postponed for a later time during the permitted race time.
What will be provided after the race?
An awards ceremony will take place after the race at at the start/finish location.
Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
You may transfer within the race, not future races.
