Run The Runway 5K

Pack Your Bags and get Ready for your flight at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport for the Inaugural Run The Runway 5K!

This one-of-a-kind race is unlike any other! You will have the ability to go where few have gone before and run among active runways at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport! This race is being hosted by the Southern Timing Foundation, Inc. 100% of the net proceeds from this race will go towards powering a flight expedition to provide underprivileged kids in South America with STEM education resources via PASSAGE.

PASSAGE stands for Providing Aid in Science for South America's General Education. The PASSAGE expedition takes off from Jacksonville, Florida in December of 2021!

Race Details

The Inaugural Run The Runway 5K will take place on October 16th, 2021 at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport! This one-of-a-kind race will have you starting on airport property running among active runways and out along Crane Island Park road and back! Parking, and all race activities will take place within a designated safe zone on airport property. There is a 25% discount for participants 17 & Under, this discount is automatically applied during registration. For security purposes you must remain within the marked event areas or you will be asked to leave.

Shirts, Medals & More!

All participants will receive a commemorative finisher medal with a moving propeller, race shirt, drawstring bag filled with supplies from our sponsors and a flight patch from PASSAGE! Is one shirt not enough? During registration you will be able to purchase additional shirts! Register by September 15th, 2021 to receive a bib with your first name on it!

Timing

This race will be Chip Timed by Southern Timing, LLC. Southern Timing will also be providing individual results pages with finisher certificates and a 20-second-long video of each participant crossing the start and finish line!

Top 3 Male & Female Overall Winners

Top 3 Overall Male & Female Masters Winners

Top 3 in Each Age Group:

10 & Under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over.

We are currently accepting sponsorships for the Inaugural Run The Runway 5K as well as PASSAGE! Sponsorship levels range from a booth sponsor on Race Day to the Presenting Sponsor of the race! The Virtual Race

Can't make it to the in-person race in Jacksonville? Don't worry! With our virtual option you can run or walk from anywhere inside the United States! Virtual Participants will receive a downloadable race bib with access to the ACISCS Runkeeper App to track your 5K! Once the race has been completed you will receive your shirt and medal in the mail! Shipping is included with your registration!
