COVID-19 Virtual Run (Virtual Events)

A virtual event in light of a very real problem.  

With so many events being postponed due to concerns over COVID-19, the impact to local economies is devastating.  Additionally, runners are left without an event to unite us.  We want to 'host' a virtual event to not only bring our running communities together without actually getting together and try to raise some awareness, and help small businesses that will be severely impacted by these postponements.  Restaurants, cafes, BNB's, as well as event companies.  

Here is how it works:

2. Pick a distance that you like to run
3. On March 28th, get out there and do what you love: RUN!
4. Share your results with us
5. Go out and support local businesses

We were hoping to find a charity that supports small businesses that will be severely impacted by everything that is happening right now, but understandably, many of them are hard to contact right now.  Instead, we encourage you to find a way to support these businesses and help them through.  In addition to the local running stores, please find a way to support the businesses that have always supported our sport and our events.  They have always been there for us, now it is our turn to be there for them.  

Your registration fees will cover the cost of your shirt, your participation medal and your bib and shipping to your address.  All items will be shipped out as soon as possible after the virtual event date.
