Description
This 3.1 mile begins ends at the Fort Myers side of the Midpoint Bridge taking runners out and back to finish near Royal Palm Square. Awards, pre-race & post-race festivities will be held at the Fort Myers YMCA of Southwest Florida (DIRECTIONS). Race starts and finishes at the base of the Midpoint Bridge. Proceeds to benefit the Fort Myers YMCA financial assistance program.
Per USATF rules, gun time is used to determine prize money winners and time bonus recipients. Tag time (chip time) will be used to determine all age-group
Race Day Parking & Staging
Parking for the Midpoint Madness Veteran's Day 5K will be the Royal Palm Square Parking Lot.
Race Packet
Registrants will receive a unisex race specific shirt and goodie bag. Shirt sizes available while supplies last. To guarantee shirts size register by October 30th.

Chip Timing
Heat warning
Temperatures/humidity can be high in South Florida. Participants should drink plenty of fluid (non-alcoholic) for 48 hours prior to, during and upon finishing the race. Beware of heat-injury symptoms (dizziness, no sweating, nausea, cramps, redness, incoherent speech and thoughts). Seek immediate assistance if symptoms occur. Wear loose, light-colored clothing.
Strictly prohibited
Unregistered participants, unauthorized vehicles, bicycles, roller blades, skates, skateboards, strollers and pets are strictly prohibited. Baby joggers are allowed but participants must start and remain at the back of the runners/walkers, thereby not interfering (passing, swerving between) with the other participants.
