Join us on Saturday, October 5th, 2024 for the inaugural On the Move to Cure Ataxia 5k Run/Walk fundraising event! Lace up your shoes and join us as we stride together towards raising awareness and funds to support Ataxia research and advocacy efforts.

Event Information
1 Mile Fun Run will begin at 8:00am & 5K race will begin at 8:30am.
Registration Cost:
- $35 (virtual option $25) through July 31, 2024 @ 11:59pm
- $45 (virtual option $35) through September 30, 2024 @ 11:59pm
- $55 (virtual option $45) through October 4, 2024 @ 9:00pm
Race Day Registration will take place from 7:00am - 8:00am.
Early Bib Pickup: Friday, October 4th from 4pm - 6:30pm @ Winston, YMCA, 221 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville, Fl. 32202.
Amenities:
- Second Wind Timing will provide professional timing services.
- Race packet includes bib number, B-tag, safety pins, race information, and sponsor items.
- After the race, enjoy breakfast while hearing from speakers who will share valuable care insights and educational resources for individuals and families affected by Ataxia.
- Custom finisher medals are guaranteed for the first 100 in-person 5K runners registered by September 25th. Virtual participants will be eligible for a finishers medal upon payment of the shipping fee. (Fun run participants not eligible for medal.)
- Event hashtags #Ataxia #JaxAtaxia5K #MovementforAtaxia are used for social media posts, real-time race updates, and sharing with friends and family.
Virtual Run:
- The virtual run will take place between October 1 and October 5. Run on your own and send us your time!
Course Map
Our event will take place along the gorgeous riverwalk, which provides stunning views and ideal weather for a day of action and community spirit. Our 5K race will be a 3 lap loop along the Northbank Riverwalk. Runners will receive splits for each lap of their race.
