Description
With the COVID 19 Pandemic, many families and individuals will struggle to bring food home. This race is a way to encourage the community to stay physically active while supporting The Soup Kitchen, which is a great organization that helps those in need.
The Soup Kitchen provides meals at no cost to our guests and it is sustained by committed and compassionate volunteers and also by the generous contributions of donors. We do not receive any funding from the county, state or federal governments.
The Soup Kitchen's mission is simple: to feed people in need regardless of their circumstances. The Soup Kitchen provides healthy and nutritious meals to all who come through our doors. We are committed to improving the quality of life and restoring the dignity of those we serve by providing a hot meal to any member of our community in need of one. The Soup Kitchen's vision is to assure that no one goes hungry, that no food is wasted in our community and no one is denied the opportunity or assistance to become self-sufficient.
