To Heck with Cancer Virtual 5k

Unfortunately cancer has affected too many people that I know, including myself. I've decided to take this stage four breast cancer diagnosis and use it to push me to be better than I was prior. I've become more obsessed with chasing after my dreams, making the most of each day, and crossing things off my "bucket list". Last year I added raising $10,000 for Breast Cancer Research to my list.

With all of your help last year, I exceeded that goal! So... I decided to do it again!! My goal of this race is to continue to raise money specifically for Stage 4 Cancer Research. Only 2-5% of funds raised for breast cancer goes towards stage 4 research?! When I found that out after I started going through this diagnosis, I decided that while I refuse to accept the things I cannot change, I will instead, change the things I cannot accept. All of the profits raised at the end of this event will go to finding a cure for stage four breast cancer!

I continue to have faith in a complete cure one day; research will get us there! And fundraising will get us that research! 

With COVID affecting the ability to have an organized formal run last year, that's not the case this year. HOWEVER, it will still be informal. Knowing how much we raised after all expenses were paid last year, makes it way more fun to not pay for the race timing companies. ;) 

For those in Jacksonville, we will be gathering at Beaches Town Center in Neptune Beach on 11/6/2021 at 10 AM to run/walk together along the beach. Following that, we will have a BYOB post-race party with a raffle! 

DO NOT be fooled, this can be a walk in the park or a walk on the treadmill, you don't need to run!

This year, the swag will be a tumbler. You will have an option to choose which color! There will be a blue, black and pink option with the To Heck with Cancer Logo! Everyone knows how much I love a tumbler!
