GO the SOCIAL Distance

The City of North Port encourages opportunities for physical activity to help reduce stress and improve mental health during the current crisis. In support of this endeavor, you’re invited to go the social distance with North Port Parks & Recreation in a virtual 5K!

This virtual race is one that can be run or walked on any day or from any location participants choose. You can complete your own race at your own pace and then submit the time online to verify. You can choose to run/walk it all at once, or you can complete the 3.1 miles a little bit each day until you’re finished – the choice is yours. 

Prefer running on your treadmill? Go for it. Like to jog around your house? Cool! Going to walk up and down your driveway? Fine by us. We just ask that you follow the guidelines from our public health agencies and maintain safe social distancing measures

Registration is free. Your time must be entered on RunSignup by April 30th at 11:59pm to be enrolled in our giveaway of a Fitbit Versa.
