Honor Our Heroes 5K Memorial Run
Description
We are very proud to announce the 10th Annual Honor Our Heroes 5k Memorial Run!
Oldsmar Cares is a for-impact 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates solely on the support of volunteers and donors. Serving the local community since 1997, we offer assistance as a food pantry, clothing closet, and other essentials, such as temporary rent and utility assistance, to those facing difficult times while keeping families together.
On Saturday, 24 May 2025, and in recognition of Memorial Day, we continue our collaboration and veteran outreach with VFW Post 12186. Our two distinguished nonprofit organizations are a 100% all-volunteer force. We are working together for a better community, and all net proceeds from the event will go toward supporting our efforts to serve residents, families, veterans, and community projects.
This year, along with a fantastic lineup of sponsors and vendors, we welcome back Tampa Bay Brewing Company (TBBC) and Three Brothers NY Pizza to help expand our afterparty menu! You won't want to miss it.
The Race: The opening ceremonies will begin at 7:00 am near Oldsmar City Hall. The race will start at 7:15 am, and the participants will be led down past the Veterans Memorial Park and along the beautiful waters of upper Tampa Bay.
This 5k (3.1 miles) is designed for everyone from competitive runners to casual joggers, pet walkers, and even some pushing their strollers. The finish line will greet our finishers with beverages and food for everyone.
The Awards! Along with your race shirts and stuffed swag bags, we will also present awards for the overall Male & Female winners. As well as the top 3 finishers in each age bracket. Brackets include: ages 9 and under and then every five-year increments until 70 and over.
Your Race packets: Come to TBBC during the times listed below to pick up your race shirt, bib numbers, event promotions, and more.

* Please note:
- It can be challenging to pick up packets on race day. Please take advantage of the early pickup and promotions from TBBC unless you are traveling from out of town.
- There is an opportunity to sign up on the morning of race day. However, we cannot guarantee a full swag bag or any race shirts.

The 2024 Honor Our Heroes Memorial Run took place along the "Top of the Bay" in Oldsmar, Florida. With over 600 registrants, we united to honor military veterans and their families while raising funds for community initiatives. To everyone who participated or donated - THANK YOU.

- RACE DAY.
Arrive early and be ready for a good time. Opening ceremonies start at 7:00 am and with a scheduled race start of 7:15 am.
- PARKING. We recommend coming in off Tampa Rd onto Washington Ave. There is an open grass field with parking attendants to help guide vehicles in. Please drive cautiously. Avoid parking on or around State St and City Hall, as much of it will be closed to ensure our participants have a safe setup area.
Late registration booths, vendors, and restrooms are all located close to parking, the start/finish, and the city hall.
