Flying Knights Virtual 5k

Welcome All!

The Flying Knights at UCF are hosting this Veterans day week military themed Virtual 5k to raise money for Fisher House Foundation. Registration is open to everyone and 20% of the registration proceeds will be donated directly to Fisher House Foundation and all donations seperate from registration will be sent directly to Fisher House Foundation. Since this race is virtual, you are free to run whenever and wherever you want! We suggest it is with the theme of Veterans Day and in an area where you are safe and following COIVD procedures. NOTE: Only November 8th-15th is when race submissions will be allowed. Running and pictures before Veterans Week will still be open to be showcased on our social media.

Who are we?

The Flying Knights at UCF are student-cadets with our mission is to be a proessional collegiate organization dedicated to teaching the principles of leadership, selfless service, and discipline found in our service members. 

How to submit race times and win prizes?

1. Go out and run or walk!
2. Record your run with a running app of your choosing (e.g., Strava)
3. Submiting from RunSignup Race Page,
   1. navigate to the race's RunSignup race page > 
   2. select the Result tab >
   3. select Submit Virtual Results
4. Run again or wait for final results

Awards

Awards can be earned through registration (Tier 3 awards) or placement within a category. Placing top 10, 5, or 3 depending on a category will earn you Tier Two item. Placing 1st overall in a category will earn you Tier One awards. All awards will be showcased on our social media and through our award emails.

1. Tier 3 - Wrist Bands, Dog Tags, Certificates, Stickers
2. Tier 2 - T-Shirts, Mugs, Masks, Cow Bells, Hats
3. Tier 1 - Exclusive Shirts, Gift Cards, Hats, Jackets/Jerseys, PT Belts

Trophies

Special custom made trophies will be presented to ROTC and JROTC groups that compete and place in top ranks.

Groups

Create custom AFROTC and JROTC groups to compete with units from across the state and nation! Winners will recieve a trophy and a special feature on our social media. Each group needs a minimum of 5 members and they can be created from registration or on or homepage under the tabs "AFROTC Detatchment" or "JROTC Detatchments".
