2020 Pioneer 5k Run/Walk

UPDATE: 9.18.20 -This year's 2020 Run/Walk is on as scheduled.  Working with our partners at McM Timing, we will be creating an environment that will allow our attendees to feel comfortable while following best practices.  We will continue to communicate with you as we near the event date.  We look forward to seeing you all again at this year's event!   Some of the steps we are taking to follow CDC best practices are:
     Staggered starting times
     Reduction in high touch areas
     Larger areas for congregation prior to race start
     Increased availability of personal protective equipment (hand sanitizers and masks)
     No formal award presentation
       *All awards will be given to participants after the race date.  **As always runners timings and photos will be posted online shortly after the race concludes.

As we continue to adapt, we will keep you posted with any new information.  Looking forward to seeing you on race day!

Join us for our 3rd Annual Pioneer 5K Run/Walk!  We will be hosting this race on Saturday, October 24, 2020 starting and finishing at our Pruitt Campus.  Official course operations and timing will be conducted by Mike Melton from MCM Timing & Results LLC.  All proceeds from the event go to Indian River State College Student Scholarships!  Come out and support this local cause!  We will have some great shirts, Finisher Awards, and Age Group Awards!  **Shirts will be available for the first 100 runners, registrations after October 3 will not be able to guaranteed size.  

Race packets will be available for pickup at Indian River State College's Main Campus in Fort Pierce starting at 10 AM till 5 PM.  Please come to the Foundation Office (A building) on Friday October 23rd, 2020 if you would like to pickup your packet prior to race day.  

*** NEW THIS YEAR***  We will have youth shirt sizes available.  

*** CONTINUING THIS YEAR***   You will be able to create your team or join a already established team when you sign up.  The new team categories are:  (Most Registrants), (Fastest Five), (Largest Donation).      

Most Registrants: Largest team of registered runners.

Fastest Five: Must have at least 5 registered runners (and be really fast!) to be eligible.

Largest Donation (Most Funds Raised):  The team that raises the most funds will win!! These funds directly support IRSC Student Scholarships, so it's a win-win!
